More little egg thingies. Aren't they cute? ^^

I've had talent vs passion 'debate' with Kao in the past and I've actually noticed something: That most people actually take the talent side when it comes to actually making a decision on which path to take, even though they might claim the passion side is the way to go. Interesting. Heh...to be expected of Singaporeans I guess. Anyway, the passion side is mainly about following your interests/passions in things like your job or subject choices. The talent way is to either choose something you're already talented in so you can shine above others, or to choose something you're weak in to improve in the area. You can guess which side I'm on and which Kao is on. Its also rather obvious that this is another one of them head vs heart things. Its not very likely that a person who follows his or her passion will come out tops as far as our society is concerned, especially if that person isn't exceptionally talented in that field. Riches, fame, glory...well, that can be forgotten about, unless you're very lucky(hey, luck again!). As for the head side, you're likely to either come out near the top of your field if you work on your talent, while you'll become one of those really well-rounded individuals if you work on your weaknesses. Its quite likely that either of these outcomes will make you happy too, especially if you prefer the talent way to the passion way of making decisions. Why would I take the passion side of things then? Because when you have a passion for something, nothing else will be more rewarding and meaningful to you than exploring that passion, be you good or bad at it. If you're someone with a passion for something, you'll also know that you'll never really be happy if you're forced to give it up. Kao very openly admits to not having any strong passion for anything but I've seen him when he actually takes a strong interest in something. Of course, Kao claims not to have any talent either, which is utter rubbish. :P Still, I guess I'll conceed it to him when he said that "At least I've got a passion for something".
